Thursday 27th October- From T-Day to D-Day!

After T-Day ( Test Day) last Tuesday we now move on to D-Day (Doomsday!)
Doomsday comes from Old Norse and Means "Day of Judgement" (Domedagen).
There are a number of words from Norse that have come into English with the Vikings.
Words like Doom are no longer used in everyday English
but others  are still used-
Window comes from Vindauga
Neighbour comes from närbo..

Can you think of any others?
Today we are going to go through the test and take any questions.

Then you will have time to do the exercise on No. 1 Ladies' Detective Agency.

After that it's only to wish each other a happy half-term and recharge the batteries for
the next part of the course.
